Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ legal team has submitted a new bail package proposal to Judge Arun Subramanian, arguing for his release from custody before his October 3 sentencing. This comes three weeks after the Bad Boy Entertainment CEO was remanded following his conviction for two counts of violating the Mann Act, despite being acquitted of more serious human trafficking and RICO charges.

In documents, Diddy’s lawyers, Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos, contend that most individuals convicted of Mann Act charges are typically released before sentencing. They argue that his current incarceration is unwarranted, asserting that his conviction stemmed from hiring professional male escorts—who were not minors—to engage in sexual activity with his long-term girlfriend as part of what they describe as a “swinger lifestyle” involving Diddy, Cassie, and “Jane.”

The defense highlights society’s evolving views on sex since the Mann Act was passed 115 years ago in June 1910. They also claim Diddy himself never had sex with the hired escorts, only his ex-girlfriends did. Furthermore, the legal team states that the only instance of Diddy being violent since his split from Cassie occurred in June 2024 with “Jane,” and that was after she allegedly provoked him with her own violent acts.

Diddy’s proposed bail package includes a $50 million bond, secured by his Florida estate and co-signed by three “financially responsible people.” The proposal specifies that Diddy would reside at his Miami home, limit his travel to the Southern District of Florida and the Southern District of New York, be placed under U.S. Pretrial Services Agency supervision, and surrender his passport.

Diddy’s legal team also conveyed his willingness to accept additional bail conditions if the court deems necessary, including home detention, treatment for mental health and substance abuse, electronic surveillance, and private security.

The judge has yet to issue a ruling on the proposal. Prosecutors have previously opposed Diddy’s release before sentencing.
