SOURCE SPORTS: Most Valuable Promotions Sign 5 Elite Women Fighters From Four Different Countries

Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) has added five accomplished female boxers to its growing roster: 19-time U.S. national champion Sa’Rai Brown-El, WBA super flyweight champion Jasmine “Animal” Artiga, unified middleweight champion Desley “Destroyer” Robinson, former unified light flyweight champion Yesica Nery Plata, and former WBA bantamweight champion Shannon “The Baby Face Assassin” Courtenay.

This move follows the historic Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3 at Madison Square Garden—MVP’s all-women’s card that broke records, including a Guinness World Record for most world titles on one card and over 6 million viewers on Netflix.

Sa’Rai Brown-El, a phenom since age 10, became the first female boxer from Georgia to win both the Junior Olympics and National Silver Gloves, later earning a spot on Team USA in 2019. She now turns pro under MVP.
I’m honored to sign with MVP,” said Brown-El. “They’ve pushed for equal pay and respect. I’m excited to be part of that legacy.”

Jasmine Artiga, Tampa’s first native-born world champ, transitioned from football to boxing at 21. She captured the WBA super flyweight title in March 2025 and continues her rise.
“Signing with MVP is a statement,” said Artiga. “They empower women fighters. I’m proud to be part of it.”

Desley Robinson, a single mom of three from Australia, fought through injuries to win the IBF middleweight title in 2024 and unify with the WBO crown in 2025.
“I’m so thankful to be part of what MVP is building for women’s boxing,” she said. “I can’t wait to show what I can do.”

Yesica Nery Plata, a 30-2 veteran, unified the WBA and WBC light flyweight titles and is ranked among the top pound-for-pound fighters in the sport.
“I’m proud to join a team that believes women can be stars,” said Plata. “We’ll keep growing the sport together.”

Shannon Courtenay, who won the WBA bantamweight title in 2021, rebounded from a layoff in late 2024 and looks to become a two-time champion.
“MVP has brought women’s boxing back in a huge way,” said Courtenay. “With them, I know I can win more titles.”

MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian added, “These women represent four countries, five incredible stories, and one mission: to compete and win at the highest level. They embody the world-class talent and drive we stand for.”
