More smoke. More discourse. More attention. What else is new? The decades-long tension between 50 Cent and Benzino just got a fresh dose of fuel, and this time, the battleground is socials. What started with a quick jab from 50 turned into a full-blown exchange, as both artists aired out old wounds and new insults in public view.
It all kicked off when 50 Cent shared a video clip of Benzino dropping a freestyle titled “YNZ” as part of the Uncle Joe Podcast Mic Drop series filmed in Columbus, Ohio. The G-Unit boss wasted no time clowning the clip. “Yo this is the worst sh*t I heard this year,” he posted, adding, “F wrong with him he 60 years old bro. Nah this ain’t it.”
Known for his relentless trolling, 50’s words sparked immediate buzz. Benzino’s freestyle featured him spitting lines about his “YNs” who “be on some kill sh*t” and claiming he’s “married to the streets,” all while flexing in a black tank top with tightly braided hair. While the confidence was there, critics questioned whether the content matched the energy.
Benzino wasted no time firing back. From the gym, he posted a direct response. “I just put a little video out… just minding my business… I see your man Curtis posted it,” he said. “This nia really… he really fk with Zino huh?”
But the Boston rapper didn’t stop there. He threw out a boxing challenge and dared 50 to step in the booth. “I tell you what, though, the boxing challenge still there. I’m down to make a couple of m’s. I’ll go three rounds with your goofy a**,” he said, before adding, “Why don’t you see if you could put out a song better than ‘YNZ.’”
In another clip, Benzino continued his rant and threw some side-eye at G-Unit’s past. “He don’t even post Tony Yayo’s music,” he noted. “Good looking, Curt. You got a big platform. I appreciate that. I know the song is dope.”
Benzino also took a swipe at 50’s influence on the culture. “You raised a whole bunch of trolls in New York, I get it,” he said. “You taught a lot of young ni**as in New York how to be trolls, and how to be divisive and negative. I get it. Only you get over with that sh*t. Nobody else will… but who am I to say anything? What do I know?”
