De La Soul Celebrates 25th Anniversary Of ‘Art Official Intelligence: Mosaic Thump’

Legendary hip-hop trio De La Soul is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their Grammy-nominated fifth studio album, Art Official Intelligence: Mosaic Thump, which originally dropped on August 8, 2000. Bold, eclectic, and ahead of its time, Mosaic Thump marked a creative turning point for the group—infusing their signature style with experimental sounds, fresh collaborations, and a fearless approach that pushed the boundaries of mainstream hip-hop.

The album brought together an all-star lineup including soul legend Chaka Khan, East Coast staples Redman and Busta Rhymes, West Coast icon Xzibit, and genre-bending trailblazers the Beastie Boys. The result was a vibrant body of work that still resonates 25 years later.

To commemorate the milestone, De La Soul will drop exclusive new remixes of their international hit “All Good?” featuring Chaka Khan on August 8, with fresh takes by renowned producers Can 7 and MJ Cole.

Fans can also look forward to a limited-edition 7” vinyl release of “All Good?” backed with “Oooh.” featuring Redman, arriving August 29. The collectible pressing will be a special keepsake for longtime supporters of the group.

On August 7 at 7PM EST, De La Soul will go live on Talk Shop Live, giving fans a chance to join a real-time conversation with the group, hear stories behind the album, and purchase vinyl copies bundled with a signed collector’s insert.

Adding to the celebration, De La Soul has teamed up with SoundCloud for a Creator Remix Activation. Beginning August 21, producers will be able to access the original stems of “All Good?” and create their own remixes, inviting a global community of creators to engage with the group’s legacy in new and exciting ways. The activation will be available at https://store.soundcloud.com.

In addition, fans are encouraged to share their own short-form videos using the iconic Chaka Khan lyric from the track: “It ain’t all good, and that’s the truth.”

With this anniversary campaign, De La Soul not only honors a pivotal chapter in their evolution but also passes the mic to a new generation—inviting them to reimagine, remix, and carry forward the enduring spirit of Mosaic Thump.
