Ice Cube Calls Out Disrespect After Fans Toss Sex Toys Onto WNBA Courts

For the past two weeks, WNBA players have been forced to deal with an unsettling trend: fans throwing sex toys onto the court during games. Ice Cube says the people behind it should never be allowed back. “Somebody doing that, man, should really be kicked up out the building and not allowed back in,” he told REAL 92.3 LA. “I don’t know what people think they could get out of that.”

Cube called the behavior “foul” and “unnecessary,” stressing that no athlete should have to experience something like this. When asked how he would handle it if it happened at one of his BIG3 games, the Friday creator made it clear there would be no tolerance. “Somebody might have to put hands on them,” he said. “Not only put ’em out, but touch him up a little bit on the way out. Let him remember, let anybody who do some stupid sh*t like this know that it going to be consequences and repercussions.”

Indiana Fever’s Sophie Cunningham also spoke out, saying the incidents make the WNBA look like a “joke.” She explained on the Show Me Something podcast, “First of all, the bounce that thing had, if that smacked someone in the face, that’s going to be plastered everywhere. I just know that if things go viral now. … If that thing even came from the rafters or bounced and slapped me in the face, that would be what I would be known for, for life.”
