Iggy Azalea has opened up about a private health challenge she faced while building her new career beyond music. In a recent conversation with ABC News, the Grammy-nominated artist discussed her shift into life as a “crypto entrepreneur” and her lucrative run on OnlyFans.
While confirming that the platform brought in a major payday, Azalea addressed and dismissed the viral claim that she earned $48 million. “I’m no fool. I’ve been paid before I even made the profile.
48 Ms. That part.
I was the top for that year. I barely, honestly didn’t have to do much,” she explained. “It’s not $48 million. That’s not the exact number, but it’s a life-changing number. It’s a little lower. It was great for me because I was able to take all that money and use it to seed out ideas I had about businesses that I wanted to build.”
In case you missed it, Azalea launched her OnlyFans account in January 2023 as part of the rollout for her Hotter Than Hell project. Although the album was never released due to her decision to retire from music, her work on the platform continued and cemented her as one of its top earners.
Curious what’s behind that paywall.
On a more serious note, she revealed she was dealing with a serious medical issue. The entrepreneur revealed she suffered from “severe” nerve damage in her legs that later developed into an infection. “I just ended up getting what’s called a chronically non-healing wound because I had a PICC line in my arm. We would take the PICC line out and then take hot bikini pictures for a day or two,” she said. “I turned lemons into lemonade with that. I really did.”
