MGK turned this year’s MGK Day into a weekend packed with big moments for both his fans and his family.
First off, MGK has a whole day in Cleveland? Wow.
On Sunday, August 10, the artist surprised his daughter, Casie Baker, with the car she had always wanted. Just weeks after celebrating her 16th birthday in July, Casie received a sleek black Acura TLX, complete with a bright red bow on the hood.
Get this, in clips from the surprise quickly made the rounds on socials, showing Casie stunned as the car rolled up. She hugged her dad before excitedly checking out the gift. Before she could get behind the wheel, MGK reminded her. “What’s the No. 1 rule?” he asked. Casie replied without hesitation, “Don’t drive like your dad.” MGK grinned and said, “Exactly, don’t drive like me.” Casie will still need to pass her driving test before officially taking it on the road.
Earlier in the day, MGK was the one on the receiving end of a surprise. During the halftime break at the Celebrity Shootout basketball game, he was presented with a custom guitar featuring his portrait. The unique piece is set to be permanently displayed at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport as a tribute to the hometown star.
The festivities wrapped up with a packed outdoor concert on the Mall C lawn, where MGK performed tracks from his new album Lost Americana, which dropped August 8. Fans got to hear fresh songs live as the musician pushed for his third straight album to claim the top spot on the Billboard 200.
From giving his daughter the keys to her first car to debuting new music for thousands of fans, MGK Day 2025 was a celebration of both personal milestones and career wins.
