Joey Bada$$ Sets Off With Ab-Soul And Rapsody On The Dark Aura Tour

Joey Bada$$ is gearing up for a major run this fall, officially announcing The Dark Aura Tour alongside Ab-Soul and Rapsody. The announcement came with the release of his brand new single “Dark Aura,” a record that sets the tone for his next chapter and namesake of the tour. The shows will also support his latest project, Lonely At The Top.

Sharing the news on the Gram, Joey wrote, “THE DARK AURA TOUR w/ @souloho3 & @rapsody | THIS FALL COMING TO A CITY NEAR YOU.”

The 25-date trek kicks off October 16 in Boston and will make stops in key cities, including Chicago, Los Angeles, Houston, and Atlanta, before wrapping things up November 20 in Philadelphia.

While fans are ready for the tour, some frustration still lingers around Joey’s album rollout. Lonely At The Top was initially set to drop on August 1, but according to Joey, Columbia Records delayed the release despite him finishing everything on time.

“The album is not dropping Aug. 1. I’m f—king sorry. I’m ashamed, I’m f—king disappointed I wanted to take accountability and responsibility because I’m not ever gon’ leave y’all high and dry,” he said, as reported by Billboard. “My s—t got pushed back because the label pushed my s—t back. My album is signed, sealed and delivered over a month ago. This ain’t ‘cause of no sample clearances. This ain’t ‘cause of no features, this ain’t ‘cause of no clashing with another artist on the date. This is literally an Exhibit A of the label getting in the artist’s way … I’ve been moving on rogue time.”

Despite the setbacks, Joey Bada$$ is making sure his energy is felt. With Ab-Soul and Rapsody joining him on stage, The Dark Aura Tour is shaping up to be a must-see moment in Hip Hop this fall.
