Tomeka Thiam, wife of global star Akon, has officially filed for divorce after close to 29 years of marriage. Court records show that Thiam submitted the paperwork just days before what would have marked their 29th anniversary, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the separation.
In her filing, Thiam is asking for joint legal custody of their child while seeking primary physical custody. She has also requested spousal support but made it clear that Akon should not be entitled to any financial support from her.
