The highly anticipated Air Jordan 5 Fire Red ‘Black Tongue’ is set to launch on Saturday, September 13, celebrating 35 years of Air Jordan heritage. This signature style is designed to look like it has been “kept on ice” since its original flight, and will be available online at both Foot Locker and Champs Sports.
The coveted colorway returns with a premium white leather upper, complemented by fire red and black accents. The striking black tongue provides a new twist, offering a distinct contrast from its previous silver-tongued era.
This OG edition honors the 1990 design with its iconic features, including the jagged midsole, bump-out collar, and vented side panels. It also includes Michael Jordan’s number 23 stitched on the outer heel. Visible Nike Air cushioning can be seen through the black and fire red midsole, while a partially translucent outsole reveals the Jumpman graphic.
The Air Jordan 5 Fire Red ‘Black Tongue’ will be available in a full family size run, with pricing at $215 for Men’s, $160 for Boy’s Grade School, $100 for Pre-School, and $85 for Toddler sizing.
