2 Chainz became the latest subject of rapper jail news when the Def Jam signee was taken into custody earlier this afternoon at New York City’s LaGuardia Airport. Dos Chainz was charged with misdemeanor posession of a weapon, putting a hold on his trip to North Carolina.
TMZ is reporting that the Atlanta rapper also known as Tity Boi was stopped at the Delta terminal when the TSA discovered an illegal street weapon believed to be brass knuckles in his carry on luggage. Mr. Chainz is currently being detained while his representatives are working on having him released. Hopefully 2 Chainz makes bail soon and isn’t forced to start a prison riot.

UPDATE: A rep from Dope Couture has informed us that 2 Chainz was not carrying a weapon in his luggage but merely a Dope Four Finger Ring made by the streetwear brand. While the item may somewhat resemble brass knuckles, you can see from the image below that they do not in fact appear to be any form of weapon.
UPDATE #2: According to Dope Couture’s owner Matte Fields, 2 Chainz has now be released from police custody.
