Boost Mobile in association with Guerilla Union is teaming up with non-profit Hip-Hop and Hope for Haiti for a special benefit “Rock The Bell 2012 Festival” series which is powered by BlackBerry. This year, the festival will be extended to two days per city, and is scheduled to stop at four major cities. Some of hip-hop’s rising and veteran emcees, including Wiz Khalifa, 2 Chainz, J Cole, ASAP Rocky, Dipset, E-40, Too Short, Naughty By Nature, Big Daddy Kane, among others. The Festival will also spotlight a Bone Thugs-N-Harmony reunion.
The festival will take flight in San Bernardino, CA on August 18 and 19 at the NOS Events Center, followed by Mountain View, CA on August 25 and 26 at the Shoreline Amphitheatre, then Holmdel, NJ on September 1 and 2 at PNC Arts Center. The fourth date is yet to be determined, but Guerilla Union did release the following statement:
“ROCK THE BELLS and non-profit organization Hip Hop and Hope for Haiti have joined forces to shine light on the disaster-stricken country and to provide continued relief efforts; that of which have progressively decelerated. ROCK THE BELLS will make its way to Miami, FL in December at Bayfront Amphitheatre (date to be determined) as the unofficial fourth market of the festival. Artists from this, and prior years, will perform in this special benefit show where all proceeds will be donated to Hip Hop and Hope for Haiti.”
