Its about that time
When Meek Mill was arrested and jailed earlier this summer for a “parole violation”, Hip-Hop went up in arms. He was right in the middle of what was shaping up to be a great sophomore album roll out–“Off The Corner”, “I Don’t Know”, “They Don’t Love You No More”–but this current jail stint will push Dreams Worth More Than Money at least into the final couple months of the year, if not 2015. That being said, it’s refreshing to have some new Meek music, and although its merely an unreleased track, the Philly rep has a new banger on the internet.
“I Like It” was clearly meant to be a club banger, and the feature couldn’t be any more left field than Mac Miller. Still, both East Coast reps slay the hard-hitting instrumental, and it isn’t the first time. Meek and Mac–say that 5 times fast–previously collaborated on the remix to one of Meek’s early hits, “House Party”.
At the time of his arrest, authorities suspected Meek Mill would be released in September. Well, here we are. Here’s to a pre-October release.
