This happened, not to you but it did happen to someone. Kanye West dropped by The Dopeness, a Mexican restaurant in Downtown New Jersey for its monthly “Wolf Juice,” a hip hop open mic show. West came alone and with good intentions to watch his niece, Jahmila Sandifer better known as Jay Hype, perform. Sandifer is the daughter of a close friend of West’s and refers to him as uncle. Ye made his way inside the venue sparking immediate chatter before the crowd gathered inside. According to the owner his presence really excited everyone, as expected.

“Everyone had their own experience with him,” said owner Jon Scanlon.”Nobody expected it, that a world-renowed rapper shows up out of nowhere. It totally hyped up the crowd for the night and it probably enhanced everyone’s performance. He gave everybody life.”

While West did stir up some excitement among die-hard Yeezy fans, he didn’t stay long. West came in, gave Sandifer a big hug and kiss, watched her perform and then made his exit.

“Kanye is a very, very big idol in my life and I try to incorporate the stuff he does into my work,” said Sandifer. He gives me pointers and I take it very seriously…his opinion is always in the back of my mind.”

According to a text Sandifer’s father received from West, the young rapper “killed it.”
