Comedian Margaret Cho Gets Portrait Painted With Her Own Blood

In this day and age, just about everyone has some type of art hanging in their home. From paintings to graphic pieces, the range of art is limitless.

How limitless, you might ask?

Just ask comedienne Margaret Cho, who recently gave up 72 milliliters of her own blood for one pretty unique portrait.

That’s right, according to TMZ Cho was amazed by the “bloodwork” of artist Vincent Castiglia, who is a close friend of hers. 6 months and an nice chunk of change later, Cho now has a bloody portrait to hang in her humble abode.

She spoke with the Daily News back in March during the beginning of the art process:

“His art is so finely detailed. And it’s so masterful. It’s beautiful…This is exciting to go through this process of collecting my blood and getting a portrait painted.”
