Pixar’s crown jewel is ready for a 4th go-round
The Toy Story movie series, which is currently a trilogy, is one of the most iconic film franchises ever created, making for some of the most memorable big screen family moments the film industry has ever seen, and some of the biggest checks the animation geniuses at Pixar have ever held in their hands. The three movies, Toy Story, Toy Story 2 & Toy Story 3–released in 1995, 1999 and 2010 respectively–have brought in over $1 billion in revenue for Disney and Pixar, and this 4th installment, expected to be released in the Summer of 2017, will surely break the box offices wide open. How do we know this is happening? According to a Variety report, Bob Iger, the Disney Co. chief, made the announcement as he discussed the compnay’s fiscal results with some Wall Street analysts.
