An 8-year old boy is under the microscope after doing the unthinkable: mistaking a used condom for a balloon
According to My Fox DC, during recess, the 8-year old boy found the used condom on the playground, and attempted to inflate it with his mouth. When he went to his teacher, she made him wash his hands and rinse his mouth, but unbeknownst to the teacher–who ended up disposing of it–the condom was used.
There was a chief problem with the process, however: the condom was thrown out before being tested for STDs, leaving the child’s mother in a state of panic.
He’s at risk for HIV, Hepatitis C, Herpes, Gonorrhea, Chlamydia. When she took the ‘balloon’ out of his mouth, it was a used condom.
What’s worse, is the mother is unsure as to how much of the testing will be covered by her current health insurance provider. The school has revealed that they will now add surveillance cameras to the property, and increase maintenance crews on the playground.
