Last night, Alabama won a thriller of a CFP National Championshp game over Clemson by a score of 45-50, giving Nick Saban the 5th national championship trophy of his 20-year career, and his 4th since taking over the University of Alabama program in 2007.
Today, on the House of Representatives floor, Alabama’s members of congress made a speech congratulating their state of Alabama’s dominance over the college football landscape in recent years, and even offering tasteful consolation to the runner-up Clemson Tigers. Before wrapping up, they made sure to collect on an apparent wager made with the South Carolina representatives, one of whom will have to don some Alabama gear during what will surely be an intolerable time.
They ended their brief tirade with Alabama’s signature “Roll Tide” chant, complete with footballs and Alabama merch in tow.
