Well, now that voting has closed for NBA All-Star voting, the NBA has revealed who the 2016 starters, and there aren’t many surprises here. The Western starters are as follows.
GUARD: Stephen Curry
GUARD: Russell Westbrook
FRONTCOURT: Kobe Bryant
FRONTCOURT: Kevin Durant
FRONTCOURT: Kawhi Leonard
And the Eastern Conference starters are:
GUARD: Dwyane Wade
GUARD: Kyle Lowry
FRONTCOURT: LeBron James
FRONTCOURT: Paul George
FRONTCOURT: Carmelo Anthony
A couple first-glimpse notes. Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green will make the team, but aren’t starting, as voters opted to go with Dwyane Wade and Kawhi Leonard, which aren’t big snubs. Neither team has a starting center, which is also pretty interesting. Not even Dwight Howard’s recent 36-point, 24-rebound performance was enough to get him voted in. Stay tuned for the official announcement of the reserves, and get ready for All-Star madness, coming out of the 6-side, Toronto, next month.
