Back in February, Future‘s ex-fianceé Ciara reportedly filed a lawsuit against the Atlanta rapper for defamation, after he referred to her as “b*tch” on Twitter while he complained about the hoops he allegedly had to jump through with Ciara to see their son, Baby Future. The lawsuit also cited several different instances Future talked badly about his son’s mother, including a radio interview that found the “Low Life” rapper suggesting that Ciara was using Baby Future and Russell Wilson in some sort of publicity stunt scheme.
Today, TMZ is reporting that Future is legally striking back with a countersuit, in which he claims, in short, that he can’t damage Ciara’s reputation because she doesn’t have much of one right now. Despite crediting her “reasonably large” fan base, Future referred to C’s last album, Jackie, a “flop.” It’s unclear right now whether or not Future will be seeking a sum in his countersuit, but TMZ is reporting that he’d like the legal fees he’s racked up dealing with her initial suit to be covered.
