Looks like it’s Christmas in May. Concert promoter giant Live Nation has launched their second annual “Kickoff To Summer” ticket promotion, releasing $2o tickets to over 1,000 shows and over 150 artists.
The summer promotion comes after record breaking ticket sales in 2015, with more than 14 million concert tickets sold.
Bob Roux, Live Nation’s co-president of North American Concerts, told Billboard amphitheater season is off to a terrific start. “We have already sold more tickets for our 2016 amphitheater shows than we did at this point in time last year.”
Roux added, “This day and age, shows are going on sale earlier and are on sale longer, and this promotion is a good way to re-introduce our 2016 summer season to our artists’ fans,” also noting the lineup diversity as it’s “something to offer every music fan this summer.”
Live Nation’s summer season’s discount tickets include Gwen Stefani and EVE, Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa, Boyz II Men, Demi Lovato and Nick Jonas, New Edition and Ice T, among others.
The Live Nation $20 ticket promotion starts this Friday, May 13 and runs through May 20.
