Doughboy talks about his struggle from being broke in life to being able to provide for himself and his family.

When asked about the meaning behind the record Doughboy said:

“The record is really a positive record. I made the record at a time when I was finally getting back to being my self. Weeks or even days before I wrote the record I was flat broke! Like had no money to even buy food type broke. And at that time, I knew I had to get up and get it. I’m not rich at the moment, but definitely not at the point I was at before. Now, I feel way up.”
