Earlier this week Lil Peep underwent an untimely death as a result of consuming multiple Xanax pills. The rapper was seen on social media moments before with six Xanax pills, and a later video surfaced on a friend’s page of Lil Peep unconscious. Now, we have learned that Lil Peep was in fact deceased in the clip. The result of Lil Peep’s death has inspired many conversations about the influence of drugs within Hip-Hop culture.
According to reports, the Xanax pills consumed by Lil Peep were laced with a fatal unknown substance, which was the main reason behind his death.
Many artists have expressed sorrow and opinions about the death of Lil Peep, and earlier this week Lil Uzi Vert tweeted a message in support of Lil Peep and his Xanax use saying “We would love 2 stop,” he wrote “But do you really care cause we been on Xanax all fucking year.” “Rip buddy I 100% understand and I don’t fault u,” he added.
Six hours later Uzi experienced a revelation and tweeted “Sober 2 day I have been shaking,” he wrote later in the evening. “I have been cursing my love ones out and fighting. In the studio with thoughts in my head. Teeth biting down because I just want to be angry at something…Maybe I will just smoke weed tonight.”
It seems that this is the beginning of a clean slate for Uzi as he was inspired by the death and conversations surrounding Lil Peep’s death.
