Remy Ma is currently searching for a new manager. If you know anyone, let her know, asap.
The “Melanin Magic” rapper let go of her husband, Papoose, as her manager in the latter stages of 2017. She also signed a new deal with Columbia Records, as revealed on the most recent episode of Love and Hip-Hop: New York.
Following the release of her husbandger, Remy Ma signed with Tamar Braxton‘s ex-husband, Vincent Herbert, to move in a different direction. Herbert is a seasoned industry veterans having worked with a number of distinguished artists as a record producer, song writer and executive. He has received credits for working with Aaliyah, Tatyana Ali, Destiny’s Child, Lady Gaga and his ex- wife as well.
Unfortunately, he did not live up to the expectations that Remy Ma anticipated from the industry veteran.
According to TMZ, Herbert dedicated more time to repairing his relationship with his family, rather than managing the femcee. He would fail to execute the simple duties of manager such as booking studio sessions, performance and appearances. Prior to signing with Herbert, he promised to take Remy Ma’s career to the next level. That did not occur.
Tamar is currently filing for divorce after many allegations of infidelity occurred, including a possible baby mama that resulted in Vincent stepping out. It was just bad timing. Herbert is attempting to fix things in his home and could not provide Remy Ma with the attention she needed. Who can blame him?
As she prepares to record and release her new album this year, the New York rapper currently seeks new management. Maybe she will call on her spouse, Papoose, to step back in, but we will see.
