Turning a negative into a positive might as well be TopCxt’s mantra. The artist comes from the rough neighborhoods of New Orleans, where he tells us life isn’t always easy. Whatever was thrown TopCxt’s way, he managed to overcome any hardships, and turn it into something beneficial in the long run. And for him, that was music.
It’s never too late in life to experience a rebirth. With his new project, “6ix”, TopCxt feels like he is being born again. This is the artist’s first studio project, and he feels it is bringing on a new life for him. “It’s very diverse,” said the artist. “It’s a different tune and a different flow. In this, I’m telling my entire story with a good outlook on what I’ve been through, and where I’m coming from.” In showcasing this “introduction to TopCxt”, the artist opens up in order to connect with his ever-growing fanbase.
TopCxt is excited to see how “6ix” continues to perform, but focused on everything that’s coming. His plans are to continue writing his own songs, in addition to help write those of fellow artists. He wants his fans to know that there is nothing but new music on the way, as they have only received a glimpse of TopCxt. As he puts it best himself, TopCxt is never going to stop pursuing his true passion, and that is music.
