The President of GLAAD and CEO Sarah Ellis states “The Carters are a global icon and defender of human rights and acceptance of all people. The world is inspired by the community and that their voices are loud and clear.”

The work they put in the community, art, and marriage is celebrated. If you can recall last year, Hov received recognition from them when his mom, Gloria Carter, was featured in the song “Smile.” On the track, Hov and his mother revealed that she was a lesbian. Beyoncé dedicated her Formation World Tour performance to the Orlando mass shooting and had featured a transgender into her Ivy Park clothing as a model.
