Now more Caribbean artist is stepping forward showcasing their talents to the American audience.
Nailah Blackman is a Trinidadian soca star who is connected with the ties of Ras Shorty, Abbi Blackman, and Avian Blackman. Her grandfather Ras Shorty is one of Trinidad’s most legendary artist, he is most popular for creating soca music, and Jamoo. Both sounds are upbeat tempo music influenced by Afro, Latin, Funk and Soul.
