Former Battle Rapper Aimee Purple Rain steps into Mainstream Hip Hop for the Culture

Aimee Rain, a Virginia native, also known as Purple Rain,  is stepping into her passion, and is turning heads across the country. Her unique voice, sound,  and style has many labels taking a second look. Her career started in 2012, where she was featured in 2 sparring sessions with Queen of the Ring, an all female battle league based in New York. Which was founded by Babs Bunny, one of Sean P. Diddy’s artists on MTV’s “Making the Band”.  She is best known for her raw freestyle raps and unique tone of voice and deep soulful voice as a singer. As an independent artist she says she desires to stand out and be different from others. Her fan base (#RainGanG) has built a momentum on social media platforms even catching the eye of several mainstream artists. Aimee states “By 2022 you are going to know my name”. Many people close to Purple Rain know her for her humanitarian nature as a life coach, spiritual advisor and nurse, however Aimee says that she wears many hats and music/hiphop is one of them. She states “Its my Time” for women and for the CULTURE. Aimee is set to debut her music by mid October and recording in Atlanta Georgia, one of Hip Hop’s notorious historical birthplaces. Some features on her album include Bill Collector a well known battle rapper, JChosen from NBC’s The Voice, and TouchMoney Cease, a rapper/producer from NY (Founder of TouchMoney Militia).
