From 7:00 a.m. November 18th, to 1:15 a.m. November 19th 2006, Jay-Z set the world record for most multiple-city live concerts in 24 hours. The record was part of his “Hangar Tour,” which was to promote his newly released album, “Kingdom Come.” He hit seven cities: Atlanta, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Las Vegas.

Today, June 29, 2012, Jay-Z finally lost his monstrous record, to none other than the psychedelic, funky rock band, “The Flaming Lips.” In the last week, the group of old rockers hit eight different cities on a bus tour, from Oklahoma to Memphis to New Orleans.

Although Hov’s record is impressive, “The Flaming Lips” managed to do it on a bus; props to the Lips as well as Jay-Z for working so hard for their fans.
