North Carolina has an up and coming legend emerging from the city of Raleigh-Durham. MAJ3STY, a Counselor for children and High School English Teacher has endured homelessness, misdiagnosed with Schizophrenia, seizures from improperly prescribed medication, domestic violence, depression, anxiety, molested, and almost died in a fatal motor vehicle accident that ended his pursuit of professional football.
Out of everything that he has been through, he is the first to let you know that he’s not perfect. Maj3sty states that all things happen for a reason and when evil attempts to stand against you, “The Father” will use that attack on your life and turn it around for your good. Maj3sty says that we have to become open to allowing God to do that and that just knowing he can and will isn’t enough.
Maj3sty grew up listening to Jay-Z, Nas, Lauryn Hill, DMX, Tribe Called Quest, Erykah Badu, India Arie, Anthony Hamilton, James Brown, Michael Jackson and so much more. It took him a while to understand what they were saying but once he began to overstand their message he started studying the game. Now, the creative is listening to Tobe Nwigwe and H.E.R. even furthering his musical knowledge.
Maj3sty has turned his life around creating a ministry of music that steps outside of religion but gives millennials consciousness and gospel. This modern day sound that Maj3sty has invented cannot be duplicated. Not only does he have the voice to match but he has the poise, charisma, and brains to match.
Maj3sty is surely an artist to keep an eye on. Keep up with him and his journey via his website, Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
