Why do people keep playing with Curtis Jackson? After A$AP Rocky’s acquittal in a high-profile assault trial, rapper 50 Cent reminds legal reporter Meghann Cuniff of a bet she jokingly agreed to months ago regarding the case’s outcome. With Rocky being found not guilty, 50 Cent has made sure Cuniff knows he’s serious about collecting his winnings.
ICYMI, in the midst of Rocky’s trial, 50 Cent took to Instagram with a playful yet bold statement, saying, “I got ASAP beaten this case I’ll bet 500,000 on it, that boy ASAP Tellie was just trying to get some money.” He added, “Fool said I was scared for my life so I went back to the scene and picked up these shells. Officer told him hey if you want to get some money go to the hospital. Who want the bet!”

After the emphatic “Not Guilty” verdict was delivered, 50 Cent shared a screenshot of the original post and a comment from Cuniff that read, “I’ll take that bet.” In response, he didn’t hold back, captioning the image with: “@MeghannCuniff I’m a need my money by Monday.”
The Queens rapper turned Hollywood mogul, who had been closely following the trial and sharing updates on social media, celebrated the acquittal with a triumphant post saying, “Not guilty,” along with a picture of Rocky. He added, “I told [ninja emoji]s I would bet 500,000 K he gonna beat it when ASAP Tellie started getting tired of telling 5 days straight. … Now stay sucker free!”
As for Cuniff, she is best known for her coverage of high-profile legal cases like Tory Lanez’s trial. We’re not her lawyer but some say she likely didn’t expect 50 Cent to hold her to the bet. Lanez himself even joined in the lighthearted banter, commenting from behind bars, “From Tory: GOOF Bi**H [laughing emoji].”
Ha, insert crying eyes emoji at Tory’s response.

This seemingly playful exchange–maybe–is just another example of 50 Cent’s long-running habit of using social media to call out people who owe him money. In the past, he’s famously embarrassed those who haven’t paid up, such as when he reminded Young Buck of a $250,000 debt. That dispute was eventually settled, with Buck reportedly liquidating assets like luxury cars and jewelry to pay off the debt after going through bankruptcy.
