ICYMI, Ye, let his disapproval of Kendrick Lamar’s music be known after hearing Dot’s multiple features on Playboi Carti’s new album. The Yeezy chief took to social media to share his thoughts, as he’s good for a lot these days, revealing that he wasn’t a fan of K. Dot’s contribution to the project, which includes three tracks: “GOOD CREDIT,” “MOJO JOJO,” and “BACKD00R.”
On March 14, Kanye posted on X (formerly Twitter), “I DONT LIKE KENDRICK LAMARS MUSIC HE RAPS VERY GOOD BUT I DIDNT NEED TO HEAR HIM ON CARTI ALBUM.”
This to-the-point post raised eyebrows, especially considering that Kanye and Kendrick had previously collaborated on the track “No More Parties In L.A.” from The Life of Pablo. The two artists also reportedly have over 40 unreleased songs from Kanye’s TLOP sessions, which made Kanye’s remarks all the more surprising to fans.
The tweet didn’t go unnoticed, with TDE’s President, Terrence “Punch” Henderson, responding on X, “Aye… What’s up with this Kanye West ni**a??”
That part.

TBH it doesn’t look like Punch is taking Ye too seriously. Laughing it off in the followup tweet.
It’s clear that Kanye West remains one of pop culture’s most unpredictable, if not controversial, figures, offering opinions and unsolicited hot takes that keep fans and the entire industry on their toes, whether it’s about Kendrick Lamar or whoever.
