In the wake of ongoing debates about cooperation and snitching in Hip Hop, Tr3yway Shotti, the former Nine Trey Gangsta Bloods member and associate of Tekashi 6ix9ine, has confirmed that Jim Jones never cooperated with authorities in their highly publicized federal case.
Kifano “Shotti” Jordan, who was sentenced to 15 years in prison for his role in racketeering and firearm charges, addressed speculation, particularly from 50 Cent, that Jones, who was mentioned in wiretapped conversations during the 2018 Nine Trey federal investigation, had secretly cooperated to avoid prosecution. Shotti firmly shut down those claims, clarifying that Jones never provided any information to law enforcement.
“Jim…his record is immaculate. He ain’t tell on nobody. Nobody on my case told on anybody, bro. Not one person other than the public figure who spoke,” said Shotti in an exclusive prison interview.
The rumors stem from wiretap recordings played during 6ix9ine’s trial, in which Jones and Mel Murda (another Nine Trey member) were heard discussing 6ix9ine’s fate after he distanced himself from the gang. Jones was never charged despite being caught on tape, leading some to speculate whether he had struck a deal behind the scenes.
Shotti’s recent statements dismiss that narrative, reinforcing that there was no paperwork or cooperation involving the Dipset capo.
Jones has long maintained his silence regarding the case, never publicly addressing the speculation. However, with Shotti’s confirmation, it appears that the allegations against Jones can finally be put to rest.
