Jean-Claude Van Damme Charged With Sex Trafficking In Romania

Martial arts expert and veteran actor Jean-Claude Van Damme is reportedly facing allegations related to sex trafficking in Romania, with authorities claiming he knowingly engaged in sexual activities with trafficked women.

According to Antena 3, a CNN affiliate, Romania’s Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) has filed a criminal complaint against the actor, asserting that he accepted sexual encounters with multiple women as a “gift.” The report states that Van Damme met with individuals already under investigation for sex trafficking offenses, who allegedly offered him access to five Romanian photo models.

The purported incident is said to have occurred in Cannes, France, which means that any potential legal action against Van Damme would require authorization from French authorities. It remains unclear if or when such proceedings will be initiated.

Van Damme is not the first public figure to be linked to sex trafficking allegations in Romania. Andrew and Tristan Tate faced similar charges in the country in 2022 and were only recently permitted to leave Romania after being detained in an ongoing investigation.

As of now, Van Damme has not publicly commented on the allegations, and no formal charges have been filed beyond the complaint submitted by DIICOT. The case remains under review, pending further legal developments.
