If flip flopping like a pair of havaianas was a person. Ye’s once again making headlines. This time for walking back the hateful rhetoric that’s haunted his recent years. On Thursday (May 22), the often-polarizing icon took to X (formerly Twitter) to share that he’s stepping away from antisemitic narratives for good, declaring, “I love all people.”

The post carried both spiritual weight and personal vulnerability, if you can believe any of it where Ye wrote, “No one is treated better than a repentant sinner… I have love for all people. I’m done with antisemitism. I forgive everyone who’s ever hurt me. I ask that everyone who I’ve hurt forgive me.” He followed the statement with a heartfelt appeal to the divine, “God please forgive me, and I ask others to do the same.”
As you can imagine, the remarks mark a stark contrast to his previous behavior. Back in 2022, Ye’s repeated discriminatory comments targeting the Jewish community resulted in massive fallout, including the loss of major brand partnerships. Rather than pull back, the rapper appeared to double down—most recently with the release of a track titled “Heil Hitler (HH)” earlier this month, which sparked widespread outrage. But now, with his latest posts, Ye appears to be attempting a spiritual and public reset.
Still, while one controversy begins to cool, another stirs. Just days later, on Saturday (May 24), Ye turned his attention to the ongoing RICO trial involving Sean “Diddy” Combs, weighing in on testimony provided by his longtime collaborator Kid Cudi.
“I wish Cudi hadn’t testified against Puff,” Ye posted. “We need to not be locked in white systems. Praying for Puff and his family.”
The comment came after Cudi—real name Scott Mescudi—delivered bombshell testimony on May 22 in which he recounted a string of disturbing incidents from 2011. According to his account, after he began dating Cassie Ventura, who was then romantically linked to Diddy, Combs allegedly broke into his home and later had Cudi’s Porsche firebombed with a Molotov cocktail. He described a chilling follow-up encounter where Diddy came off like a “Marvel supervillain.”
Cudi has since spoken out publicly about the emotional toll of testifying. “I’ve been seeing all the love and support. I just wanna say thank you so much, man… This is a stressful situation. I’m glad it’s behind me.”
As always, Ye’s world is a complicated mix of redemption arcs, industry beef, and social media sermons. Whether fans believe his latest pivot remains to be seen—but one thing’s for sure: Ye never stops moving the needle.
