Kim Kardashian Reportedly In Talks To Play Villain In Bratz Live-Action Film

Might be time to take Kim Kardashian serious in her acting journey. Word is, the Kardashian mogul may soon be trading in her glam for some on-screen mischief. According to an exclusive scoop from Deadline, the multi-hyphenate mogul is being considered to portray the main villain in a new live-action film based on the iconic Bratz doll franchise.

Get this, the project is reportedly in development under Amazon MGM, with Kim also attached as a producer. She joins forces with Erik Feig and Julia Hammer from Picturestart, while the script is being handled by Charlie Polinger and Lucy McKendrick. Jason and Jasmin Larian are also producing on behalf of MGA Entertainment, and Isaac Larian is on board as executive producer. While the production team is locked in, plot details and additional casting remain tightly under wraps.

Now in case you missed it, this would not be the first time the Bratz dolls hit the big screen. In 2007, a previous live-action adaptation brought characters Cloe, Yasmin, Sasha, and Jade to life, played by Nathalia Ramos, Skyler Shaye, Logan Browning, and Janel Parrish. That version offered a family-friendly take on high school life through the lens of four teen fashionistas.

What’s interesting is if Kardashian officially signs on, the role will further showcase her recent evolution as an actress as well as a producer. She appeared in the twelfth season of American Horror Story and is currently working on a new legal drama titled All’s Fairfor Hulu, which is being created by Ryan Murphy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, she is also serving as a producer on that series.

Good for her.
