Dwight Howard Pushes Back Against Ex’s Claims Amid Heated Divorce Disputed

Dwight Howard is firmly rejecting explosive accusations brought forth by his ex, Amy Luciani, as their short-lived marriage unravels in the courts. What began as a quiet split has now become a storm of allegations, legal filings, and sharp rebuttals.

Amy, whose legal name is Amber, filed for divorce on July 1 and previously sought a protective order against the former NBA champion. Though that request has since been dismissed, the claims she made in court documents have stirred public attention.

Among the allegations, Amy stated that Dwight once gave her a drink he described as herbal tea, which she later claimed was actually laced with Molly. “He has given me something he claimed was a holistic tea, and it was really a drug called Molly,” she wrote in the filing, adding that she became seriously ill and was not allowed to get medical help. She also claimed Dwight exhibited controlling behavior and emotional intimidation, saying, “Whenever my husband gets upset, he locks me out of our home,” and referenced being physically restrained or forced out of rooms during conflicts.

The court initially granted a temporary protective order, but Amy later chose to withdraw the case.

Dwight’s attorney, Gillian B. Fierer, responded strongly to the accusations, calling them “patently false” and expressing disappointment in how the divorce has escalated. “[Dwight] emphatically denies [Amber’s] claims,” she stated. “We are disappointed that what should have been a very simple divorce is now being expanded into contentious litigation.”

As the legal battle unfolds, both sides seem ready to dig in. With alimony now part of the conversation and the past being dragged into the spotlight, this story is far from over.
