Get this: the cash is coming from the liquidation of Young Buck’s assets as part of his bankruptcy proceedings. His estate reportedly raised more than $1 million through the sale of music rights, cars, jewelry, and recording gear. However, nearly $445,000 has already been earmarked for legal and administrative fees, leaving just over $600,000 for creditors. Once the final plan is approved, 50 Cent is expected to receive his cut.
What’s interesting is that for years, the fundamental nature of that $250,000 has been debated. Buck has argued at different times that the money was an advance for upcoming G-Unit releases.
