Jim Jones Plots Move Into Podcast Game

Another podcast on the way. Jim Jones is getting ready to add a new title to his ever-expanding resume, and this time it might be podcast host.

The Harlem-bred rap icon lit up the Gram this week by teasing what appears to be the early stages of a brand-new podcast venture. The Dipset rapper gave followers a sneak peek inside a newly built studio space, hinting that his signature unfiltered commentary might soon have a permanent mic.

“Don’t get scared now new Pod cast on th[e] way,” Jones wrote in the caption. “I done made all yal pod cast hott time to take my spot back lol lol lol lol.”

In a video clip, Jones doubled down, bringing his signature bravado:

“Is y’all ready for my podcast? Because none of you could talk more sh*t than me, I promise you that,” he declared. “This is actually one of the podcast setups we have in the facility that’s here for rent,” he continued. “I know y’all got nervous,” he added. “You never know what might could happen. I might just do one for fun.”

While it’s not yet clear when or if the podcast will officially launch, the energy suggests Jim is more than just playing around. Known for his hot takes, street-tested wisdom, and willingness to stir the pot, Jones could easily carve out his own corner in the podcast arena.

His sharp opinions already trend on socials, especially when they touch on rap royalty. Most recently, Jones sparked chatter by boldly suggesting his music holds more mainstream weight than Queensbridge legend Nas.

“My son can’t tell me one Nas record,” Jones stated while discussing generational reach. “There must be some type of misconception when it comes to Jim Jones and what Jim Jones has done in this game. A lot of these rappers have done a tremendous job. And I take nothing away from them. But they forget, I got a hell of a catalog. Gold records, platinum records. … Check my track record. Then check everybody else’s track record.”
