Lil Wayne was forced to postpone his much-anticipated Toronto concert at the last minute after falling ill with an undisclosed condition. The Young Money leader was scheduled to take the stage on August 11, but fans who arrived at the venue were instead met with a notice announcing the change.
“Due to unforeseen illness, Wayne’s Toronto show will be postponed,” the message read. “As his fans know, he loves putting on nothing short of the best performances for those who come out, and he was so excited for this one. Please stay tuned for the new date coming soon. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date once announced.”
While the nature of the illness has not been revealed, Wayne’s team assured fans that a rescheduled date will be shared soon, and ticket holders will still get the chance to see the rap icon deliver his trademark high-energy performance.
