50 Cent Clears Up Shreveport Mansion Rumors While Expanding His Real Estate Footprint

50 Cent has been pouring serious money into Shreveport, Louisiana, sparking plenty of chatter that he already lives there. While it’s true he has invested millions into the city, the rap star and business mogul has not purchased a home in the state just yet.

During an appearance in Shreveport, where the mayor presented him with the key to the city, 50 spoke about his ambitious vision for the area. According to the Shreveport Times, he revealed that his planned studio will rival Tyler Perry’s Atlanta complex, a bold statement that immediately grabbed attention. For longtime locals who have heard lofty promises before, this one felt different.

A video circulating online has only added fuel to the rumors that 50 owns a Louisiana mansion. Labeled as “50 Cent’s New Louisiana Mansion,” the clip shows a tour of a sprawling property, convincing some that he has already moved into the Bayou State. In reality, the footage is from his mansion in Houston, which has been repeatedly misrepresented as Louisiana real estate.

Still, the hype around 50 in Shreveport is real. Since shifting his focus to the city, he has become one of its most vocal supporters, both by promoting it across his socials and by acquiring abandoned properties downtown. In December 2024, the Shreveport-Bossier City Advocate reported that he had built up a portfolio of buildings near G-Unit Film & Television, cementing his presence in the area.

With multiple projects underway and Shreveport positioning itself for a cultural revival, it wouldn’t be surprising if 50 eventually decided to make Louisiana home. Even though he doesn’t own a mansion there right now, the way things are shaping up, it might only be a matter of time.
