Mitt Romney walked away satisfied following this weeks Florida’s Republican primary. Recording artist K’NAAN isn’t happy to say the least, not because of the results of the primary but the misuse of his song “Waving Flag” by Romney.
K’NAAN had no idea his song would be used and he doesn’t endorse Romney in the slightest bit. In a statement K’NAAN was quite unhappy, “I have not been asked for permission by Mitt Romney’s campaign for the use of my song. If I had been asked, I would certainly not have granted it. I would happily grant the Obama campaign use of my song without prejudice.”
K’NAAN is looking into legal action to prevent Romney from using the song any further in his campaign. Hip-Hop politics at its best!
