Rozay takes the soul sound very seriously.

Rick Ross is prepping his sixth album, all of which have been released on Def Jam Records, for December 17th, and every day it seems as if captivating new details about the album are released. While “Box Chevy” and “No Games” are the current street singles getting fans excited, there seems to be culture on the way. Announcing about a week ago that any day now we’d be receiving his new single, featuring Jay Z, today, Rozay revealed to Sway and MTV News that he’s reaching out to soul legend Bobby Womack–of whom Ross is a huge fan–to do work on Mastermind. Hopefully, the result is reminiscent of “Tears Of Joy”, the Cee-Lo-assisted standout Teflon Don track, or “Amsterdam”, the soul sample driven song on God Forgives, I Don’t. Either way, we can’t wait. Ross may arguably have the best ear for soul in the business.
