Katy Perry is the most followed person on Twitter with a staggering 46,529,319 followers.
Justin Bieber, the reigning champ has 46,507,829 falling to second place with Lady Gaga rounding out the top three with 40,400,759.
As for Perry, this year is shaping out to end on a high note. Though Perry has admitted to feeling down after the divorce from her ex-husband Russell Brand, Perry sure has more to smile about.

Her album, “Prism” debuted No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart, selling 286,000 copies its first week. This is the best first week sales for the 29-year-old singer.
