Way back in 2009, before Setbacks, Habits & Contradictions & of course, Oxymoron, ScHoolboy Q released his sophomore mixtape Gangsta & Soul. The DJ Ill Will & DJ Dave hosted mixape helped awaken who would now be considered as some of his “day one” fans. G&S was presented by G.E.D. & Top Dawg Entertainment featuring his (at the time) labelmates Tyga, Jay Rock, K.Dot, Ab-Soul as well as Mistah FAB.

Standout tracks on Gangsta & Soul include “Cant Wait” featuring Tyga & Mista FAB, “Take The Pain Away,” & of course, “Evil,” which goes down as one of the better collabs between Q & Kendrick Lamar, or more specifically – K-Dot.
