Scandalous
Columbus Short has had quite an incredible run on Shonda Rhimes‘ political drama, Scandal, which has garnered a cult-like fan base. Still, the off-screen life can be much different than what’s portrayed every Thursday night for many of the cast members.
This is certainly the case with Columbus Short, who will be celebrating his 32nd birthday this September, and his wife Tanee Short.
TMZ reports that on April 7th, the married couple got into a heated argument at their home in Los Angeles, during which Columbus Short threatened to assault his wife with a wine bottle, choked her on the couch and held a knife to her neck, in addition to threatening to stab her in the leg if she lost a game of “Truth Or Truth”, involving questioning her about men she was allegedly having extra-marital affairs with.
It isn’t the first time domestic violence has become an issue for the Shorts, Columbus is reportedly facing additional domestic violence charges stemming from an incident involving both his wife and his son. Short has plead guilty to those charges.
