I don’t know about you, but as an adult, I wake up daily and continually miss watching Saturday morning cartoons as a kid. Before 8am, I’m up, showered, shaven and then out the door to work. Thankfully, the folks over at Postmodern Jukebox have somewhat eased this pain with their R&B rendition of the DuckTales theme song.
As a part of their Saturday Morning Slow Jam series, he cover-group slowed down the theme song, mellowed it out and it would have went platinum if it dropped in ’94. It’s quite possibly the coolest video on the interwebs today. If this one isn’t enough for your nostalgia fix, check out their version of the Pokemon theme. I still, for the life of me, cannot figure out out how Scrooge McDuck was able to dive into a pile of metal coins.
