Chandler Parsons Will Join Dallas Mavericks

After signing a a three-year, $45 million offer sheet with the Dallas Mavericks earlier this week, the Houston Rockets informed Chandler Parsons today that they would not match the restricted free agent’s offer.

The Rockets signed Trevor Ariza yesterday which made Parsons expendable. Houston had a player option on Parsons for the 2014-15 season, but declined their option on Parsons so that Parsons could become a restricted free agent this offseason as opposed to becoming an unrestricted free agent last offseason.

A 6-9 small forward in his third season out of Florida, Parsons averaged 16.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 4.4 assists for the Houston Rockets this season.
