It’s that time of year once again
The Digital 30 and Radio 30 are back, once again as we rank the power players of the airwaves and internets which becomes increasingly important as we dive further and further into the depths of the information age. Hip-Hop continues to be the most engaging entity on digital platforms like Twitter, Instagram, your favorite web browser and radio is no different. From WorldStarHipHop to Angie Martinez – this is where we rank the yay & nay-sayers of the blogosphere as well as the voices and DJ’s who keep us up-to-date on the hottest news and trends from music, fashion & lifestyle.
Our Digital 30 isn’t just based on who has the coolest blog or website. It’s a combination of numbers–or hits–impact, versatility, and of course, how dope the content is. The Radio 30 is also based on a complex rubric that doesn’t just involve how popular one’s show is. While that plays a role, it’s also important how many markets a show reaches, the impact a particular personality has in the grand scheme of Hip-Hop radio and culture, and of course, the moments. The moments that will be talked about for years to come–a lot of them still happen on the country’s most prolific and prominent radio shows. Once again, congratulations to everybody that made the list, and for those that didn’t, we expect to see you next year!
