The Houston Astros and UGK’s Bun B have teamed up to design and release a new, limited edition Astros caps.
The project blended the retro colors and aesthetic of the Astros with a fresh, new design that speaks to the pride that Houstonians feel for their baseball team and their city.
Who better to get involved with the project than the Port Arthur, Texas native?
The team unveiled the hats last week against the Cleveland Indians where Bun B threw out the first pitch. “The Astros star and specifically the old school color scheme with the white, orange and red is what most people recognize Houston by,” said Bun B.
“I love it, I’m happy the team went back to it and we understand what that means not just to Houston, but to baseball fans in general.”
The project incorporates Houston-based partner Academy Sports + Outodoors as the exclusives retail vendor for the limited edition Astros caps.
